Torulfs Saga

Evocative soundscapes and traditional instruments to set sail on a mythical journey

Volume I

Västerled is the debut album of Torulf, a Nordic Tribal artist from Sweden.

The album is a mythical journey that sets sail into the unknown. Each song is a chapter in a story of life, adventure and rebirth.

Västerled is the first of Torulfs Saga, a series of concept albums that will continue the story.

Combined with electronic ambient, it features rhythmic drums, hypnotic strings and ritualistic vocals to evoke esoteric themes of ancient northern european spirituality.

Midsolsblot is the second release of Torulf.

Midsolsblot is about the esoteric ceremony of the summer solstice, the duality of personalities and deities,
and the centre of the energies where they join to create.

Volume II

Ristningar i Ginnungagap is the second album of Torulf.

The album is an evocative journey that brings the listener to the realm of Ginnungagap of Nordic mythology, a vast space with elemental forces where all creation was born. Each song is a chapter in a story of awakening, overcoming trials, and catharsis.

The title means 'Engravings in the yawning void', and delves into themes of making your mark - inspired by the Bronze Age petroglyphs of ancient Scandinavia - into Ginnungagap itself.
